i have a full question. i made my son's invitations and i put a title like this in each envelope. e.g. to: basilio's family, to: valencia's family, to: reyes's family. am i correct or wrong? if si kindly correct me with my apostrophes. i'll be very much ashamed if they will confront me about it and i'll be wrong. please help me. is it correct or just fine?? thanks alot.. Welcome, jannheart. I've moved your question to this section, if you don't mind, for more direct attention. I'm surmising that you're actually writing these on the outside of the envelopes, rather than in the envelope--an address, as such. Your use of the possessive apostrophe appears to be correct if you call these people "Basilio," "Valencia," and "Reyes." (There may be some discussion regarding the use of Reyes's vs. Reyes'.) However, these sound to me more like their last names (surname, family name), in which case I'd be more inclined to write "The Basilio Family," "The Valencia Family," and "The Reyes Family." The to may be considered optional. Another form would be to use the plural form, again assuming these are surnames: "The Basilios," "The Valencias," and "The Reyeses." Note the use of capitalization. PS alot should be two words: a lot
