[This was originally embedded in another thread, so I've moved it -- and its replies -- to this new thread. pd.] Do I need to put an apostrophe after the s in - The Archers star - as I believe it would be needed to indicate possession ie a star of The Archers. Pls help if you are able.

I'd say that "Archers", being the name of a radio programme, is adjectival in your example, Lyndsey, and so doesn't need an apostrophe. Other examples might be "Star Trek star", "Manchester United star" and "Big Brother dimwitted minor misfit nobody".

I would agree that an apostrophe is needed in your examples. Have a look at the thread called "worth", too, as it is about the use of "worth" in this context.
