More on the Kop theme, just for you, Pete. (To the tune of "Yellow Submarine") On a Saturday afternoon, We support a team called Liverpool, And we sing until we drop, In a red and white Spion Kop, We all live in a red and white Kop, A red and white Kop, A red and white Kop, We all live in a red and white Kop, A red and white Kop, A red and white Kop In a town where I was born, Lived a man who sailed the seas, And he told me of his pride, They were a famous football team, So we trailed to Anfield Road, Singing songs of victory, And there we found the holy ground, Of our hero Bill Shankly, We all live in red and white Kop… ;D Thanks, Vadim. Might not work quite so well if they move ground, though! Having installed Fred's 1-Click Answers, I clicked on "Kop" in Vadim's lyrics (as reproduced by Pete), and was suitably edified. Thanks to all three!

That seems unlikely at the moment (according to newspaper reports, at least). The two warring yank owners have run out of money after saddling the club with a huge debt. Unless another rich Arab turns up, of course ...

A great song sang by that harmonic choir, the Kop ;D. His armband proved he was a red - Torres, Torres! You'll never walk alone it said - Torres, Torres! We bought the lad from sunny Spain He gets the ball, he scores again Fer-nan-do Torres, Liverpool's number 9.The second verse is even better - I'll save you the pain . Vadim, a colleague has just brought in some chocolate biscuits "to celebrate last night’s humiliation of the great Real Madrid". It made me think of these lyrics! Long time since you posted, by the way. are you OK?

Hi y'all! I love this song! The rest of the lyrics are cool too, but this is the main chorus. Artist-Astronautails. Song-Oceanwalk. Who knew I would wait such a long time From the dreams to leaves to the cracks in the pavement To the roaches and rat and the armored cars pacing To the spies and the thieves and the cross-eyed complainers To the...ain't that long when you count out the paces From the breach to the tracks to the aliens with statements To the grief and the crap that they all want to wade in To the forth and back, the forth and back, there is no turning back again.

Hi again I had to do another one! I love music with strong meaningful lyrics. And this one is just the best! It was wrote by Leonard Cohen, but I like the Jeff Buckley version the best. This is the last verse of the song but its my favorite! Artist - Jeff Buckley Song - Hallelujah Well maybe there's a God above But all I've ever learned from love Was how to shoot somebody who'd out drew ya' And it's not a cry that you hear at night It's not somebody who's seen the light It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah Hallelujah. Thats the song with lyrics on You tube. Watch it if you want . Alexandra Burke from X-factor ruined this song in my opinion it's just not meant for a female voice, its doesn't help that she can't sing either but you guys will understand what I mean! ;D (I apologize to any Alexandra fans out there .)

I love this one, too, Frankie. I have 3 versions on my iPod (John Cale is the 3rd).

Hallelujah is just lovely, frankie. Thank you. I've never come across that particular song before, but with artists of the calibre of Leonard Cohen, Jeff Buckley and John Cale having recorded it, it just has to be good. I confess I didn't recognise Alexandra Burke's name until I looked her up in Wikipedia, when I remembered seeing her on TV a couple of times. IRC she's got a lovely contralto voice, which for some reason reminded me of Grace Slick. Now, she is a singer! Or perhaps I should say she was; she's retired now.

Which reminds me, here's Grace singing White Rabbit and Somebody To Love as part of Jefferson Airplane. Weren't the Smothers Brothers (the TV hosts) creepy-looking?

I love this one, too, Frankie. I have 3 versions on my iPod (John Cale is the 3rd). By coincidence, since my iPod is a Nano, so I have no control over the songs it plays, the Jeff Buckley version of Hallelujah came on as I walked to work yesterday.

A minor nitpick: surely you do have control over the songs? They have to be placed there and can be deleted, even if you have to use that terrible piece of software, iTunes. You might not have control over the order of the songs it plays ...

Hallelujah is just lovely, Frankie. Thank you. Your welcome! I first heard this song on the movie Shrek and loved it ever since! Yeah I don't understand Nanos, there big enough to put an up and down button on the side! ;D It would just bug me not being able to choose! I have to be in the right mood to listen to certain songs or they just annoy me!

And now this from one of said colleagues: ;D I missed this, Pete, with my travels to China. Thanks to Frankie it's resurfaced. I've plenty more where that came from (some not suitable for the playground though). But saying that, after last night, I shant be airing any for a while .

I have a Nokia N95-8GB which is a more-than capable 5mp camera, a Garmin XT sat-nav, an 8ish gb mp3 player, a calender, an alarm clock, a hand-held games console, a calculator, a personal organiser and a USB storage device. Did I mention it was a phone? ;D Oh, and I can make playlists, skip, choose, shuffle, do whatever I like .
