She also says she has heard neither before. Happy New Year to all. 🥳 LJH: Perhaps it came from the lyrics of this "song": Hate on me. I find the expression in many YouTube comment posts. No doubt a psittacism. Other odd (to me) and unnecessary uses are change up and swap out, when a solo change or swap would suffice. The latter is particularly common on YouTube videos about repairing / restoring cars. Along with hate on, these are creeping into Aussie usage.
