Currently, each page can hold 12 posts.
On this poll you can change your answer later if you wish.

Bit of a loaded poll, there, Paul. (Are you training to work at a Town Hall?)
Better would be two stages. As we at present have 12: a) Stay at 12 OR increase. b) Increase to how many.
On current voting you have 5 to 3 to increase. But 3 to stay beats any individual other!

You're thinking too hard about this, Tone!
But I've changed it to 20 posts per page to help people decide. I may change it back in a day or two.

Ah, the curse of the Tone-brain!

I got tired of all the scrolling. Threads per page is now at 15, where I'm tempted to leave it for a while.

I have no problem with that -- get yourself a trackball instead of a silly mouse!

The "Page Down" button or space bar is also very useful, as is the "End" button.

Didn't know the space bar did that! Thanks!

I didn't know about the 'space' bar working as a 'page down' key; and it appears that 'shift'+'space' bar works as a 'page up' key. Thanks!

Well there you go. You do learn something new every day, after all.

... and I have voted successfully for this "Page Length" poll ... I could see the voting button and the "Retract Vote" button. Yippee!
So something strange happened with the Gallery poll of Alan's as I could see no button to click at all, and therefore couldn't vote (as reported on the Gallery poll thread).
Just thought you'd like to know in case anyone else was prevented from voting on the Gallery poll!
PS 1: What is "Karma"? I seem to have one of them, whatever they are! PS2: When does one qualify for something higher than "New Member"?

John,
Karma is the resultant of whether people 'exalt' or 'smite' you: if you look against everyone's name etc. on the left-hand side, you'll see that you can click on either of these - clicking on 'exalt' gives the person +1 karma, clicking on 'smite' gives them -1; someone must like you!
If you check out the front page of the site, you'll see how many posts you have to author before you get to be a full/senior member.
If you trawl through the lengthy thread on how the board works, you'll see all these questions and their answers (hence the need for clearly labelled, non-rambling threads!)

When does one qualify for something higher than "New Member"? John, I think you become junior member at 50 posts and a full member at 100. I am not sure when you become a senior member but thank you for this opportunity to post my 100th entry and become a full member at last.
