Has he gone yet? Come on folks, now we can have a partyyyyyy !!! ;D It will have to last a long time, given how many different time zones are covered by the posters in here ! I'll bring a bottle of Southern Comfort and home made chocolate cake - any other offers for supplies ? Should home made be hyphenated ?

Should home made be hyphenated ? Homemade is one word.

Amanda, you're a very naughty girl.
Get down off that table right now and stop that shameless dancing. And what is that which you're almost wearing?

Although I am now back from holiday, I have a backlog of work (day-job-type work) to catch up with (one of the many joys of being self-employed -- no delegation!) and I see there is a fair bit for me to read here.
So if my temporary spam-watchers don't mind staying on duty for a little longer, I will aim to lift their burden in the the next day or two.

Get down off that table right now and stop that shameless dancing. And what is that which you're almost wearing? Well actually, I missed the party. I spent the week in a tent in a wet and windy Welsh valley. So ... that means it must have been someone else prancing about the table in skimpy attire! Who's owning up?! (I don't think I'd be able to get myself up on a table these days, let alone dance on one! )

OK, back properly now -- work backlog (almost) dealt with, and I've got some time to attend to matters here.
Firstly, my thanks to Alan, Pete and Dave for doing such a great job. The forum was clearly safe in their hands.
So much so, that I'm thinking of asking them to stay as "spam monitors" - if I leave them with message deletion powers, would they mind deleting any obvious spam? That would be a benefit to us all, I think.
I WILL take back the thread-locking power: that's a more controversial thing than deleting spam, and can rapidly cause bad feeling. For that reason it's better that just one person makes the decisions, and the bad feeling can be directed towards just that one person!
Once again, my thanks to Pete, Dave and Alan.
