1. THE POSSESSIVE RULE
The apostrophe goes immediately after the owner:
The dinner of the dog ... the dog's dinner. The dinner of the dogs ... the dogs' dinner.
The shirts of the men ... the men's shirts. The princess of the people ... the people's princess. The bikes of the children ... the children's bikes.
