Whilst fumbling around on the Internet, I was astonished to see this: --> Cardinal Sin, former Archbishop of Manila. Surely this is made up! I dunno, even the church comes a cropper!
The one I do know and think is quite apt (relating, somewhat, to the origin of "nominative determinism" is: --> Nicholas Burns-Cox, consultant urologist. Brilliant! ;D

Yes, he's real and was mentioned earlier in the thread, Vadim. You should look at some of the links to the New Scientist articles on this (also to be found earlier in this thread). I think they are hilarious and I suspect they will appeal to your sense of humour, too.

I have just come across a reference to a Reverend Lax. Quite the last thing his church would have wanted him to be!

I think TfS is wanting me to make a subtly humorous point about gravlax, but although I'm giggling myself, I can't think of a terribly funny way to put it! You'll have to do it yourself, TfS, I'm afraid. Sorry! Tee, hee. Sue

I have just come across a reference to a Reverend Lax. Quite the last thing his church would have wanted him to be! "Lax" means "salmon" in Swedish and "Reverend Salmon" doesn't have the subtle humour of Pete's posting. However, this got off track so let's forget it. TfS
