Generally, txtspk gives me the trots, but I found the above example at least interesting.

The other similar thing that annoys me is when books are written in a new 'evolved' form of English. David Mitchell's Cloud Atlas had a chapter like that, which was bearable, but the whole of Will Self's The Book of Dave is in a futuristic form of English and I just can't read it.

That was fun, Goofy. You get the same sort of thing on rune stones, for the same reason - and on coins, come to think of it.
I checked the link at the bottom of the page, and Prof Pullum's article was even more fun!
