Which of the following is correct?

I think the first is incorrect because a double future tense is not permitted, right?

Both are correct, but the second is used more frequently.

But, I recall there was a thread where I was told one couldn't do a double future... I vaguely remember that, but not the details. Perhaps it has something to do with the context of the sentence.

Marie, I think it was a conditional clause along the lines of: "If I go out I will take an umbrella." and not, "If I will go out ... etc."
