Hi David.
This is like an elocution class, isn't it? church, judge, drain, train.

I've always fancied taking a few elocution lessons, Paul.

>So does that explain why 'drain' often comes out as 'jrain'?<No. Drain comes out, often via a sewer, as "outfall". Tone

Sir Joseph Bazelgette was the Victorian engineer who designed the sewerage system for London, a system whose outfall is at Crossness (or, when overloaded following heavy rain, very Crossness). Bazelgette's descendant, Peter Bazalgette, is the boss of the company that produces "Big Brother" in the UK. It's ironic that one Bazalgette was responsible for ridding the capital of sh*t, while his descendant has been responsible for piping it back again.

I have just had to sit through one hour of this drivel, courtesy of my missus! I obviously need a change in partners, however, it's impractical (for now!). I am sat here absolutely crying my eyes out, Twod. Thanks for the best laugh of the week! Tone is clearly talking carp. I knew I could smell something fishy. ;D
