I might use this thread to build a list of links and put them in an FAQ.

>And this is "our" page: eng-lang.co.uk/apostrophe_rules.htm<Might I suggest that the link to HERE be both BIG and right at the TOP. Tone (Shouting a bit, there, but it's all for effect.)

Paul, I like what you've done with this, but I'm a little intriuged by the page's use of the words "rules" and "correct". I would have thought you'd be more likely to describe them as guidelines and conventions.

It's a question of what people are likely to search for, Trevor.

I'm an admin on the Wordcraft Forum. It is, as the name suggests, a forum for the discussion of words and so is not unlike this one. Those who posted in the APS forum some five or six years ago may recognise a couple of names, Bob Hale and Richard English, as former posters to the APS board. Check it out!

Paul, not meaning to add to your workload, but is it possible to have a "useful links" section on the home page, where all these links could go?

The Wordcraft forum looks interesting, Alan. I've bookmarked it for some future date when I break my leg/run out of essays to mark.

Alan (or 'Arnie', as I see you are in another place) I had a look at Wordcraft - it looks just my sort of thing (was itching to join in the Frost/Dickinson debate). You'll probably see a contribution or two there from me in the coming bye and bye.

Sue, Barry, and any others: I'm sure you'll be made most welcome at Wordcraft.
