>Yippee! Got 5 out of 5 on the word match.<Easy, wannit! But I'm buggered if I could work out how to work the display -- I had to do it mentally. (How was one supposed to move them about / link them? ) Tone

Click on the coloured word, click on the white matching word, and it then turns the same colour. (5/5 - but only because once I had done 4, there was only 1 match left!)

Grammarblogger had posted a piece - "A Seriouse Lacke of Judgement" grammarsucks.com/a-seriouse-lacke-of-judgement.htm - about what he considered to be the misspelling of judgement; he claimed that judgment was the only correct spelling. As he claimed to have done "a little dictionary research", I couldn't help myself and had to post the results of some big(ger) dictionary research. Perhaps grammarblogger was writing solely for a US readership - and assumed, as seems to be a common cultural assertion of many Americans, that the US is, or represents, the entire (English-language) world. There was no immediately obvious indicator on the site that it was American, so I felt constrained to point out to him his culturo-linguistic one-eyedness. I did enjoy his Match Up puzzles, but didn't find them particularly challenging.

Vv, >Grammarblogger had posted a piece - "A Seriouse Lacke of Judgement"<
And his analysis of the Second Amendment is a bit suspect, also!

His use of the word "gotten" suggests that he is American.

Grammarblogger's response to the question "Do you still maintain your assertion that judgement is a misspelling?" at the end of my reply (in which I quoted numerous well-regarded dictionaries - including SOED and Merriam-Webster's - that gave both spellings as valid) was "Yese", so I can only assume he's a KA (know-all). Credibility factor: zilch.

Vv, welcome to senior membership and roll on godhood! Thanks, Pete. ;D The prospect of godhood raises issues for this atheist (as it does for another regular poster to this board). Perhaps I should stop posting at one short of the magic number.

I guess you could rename (or reincarnate?) yourself just before you get there, and start again as a new member.
